Have your say in the Alford Neighbourhood Plan

The Localism Act 2011 introduced new powers for communities like Alford to create their own neighbourhood plans. These neighbourhood plans are powerful instruments that pass many of the planning decisions usually associated with District Councils back to the community.

This includes

  • where new homes and offices should be built
  • what they should look like
  • To start the process rolling Alford Town Council has formed a Neighbourhood Planning Group, which has to collect ideas and views from the community, group them and eventually present them to the entire community for a final vote. Throughout the process we will need your ideas and feedback.
